Salep is a kind of orchid. A beverage is made from the bulbs of the plant. Salep is rich in starch and it contains metal salts such as phosphorous and calcium. It also contains a sticky substance, which, when boiled in water, turns into a thick mixture. Salep is beneficial in cases of coughing, asthma and stomachache. It boosts the immune system and it offers energy and mental clarity.
Preparation: Stir ithe contents of a pack in a 100ml cold water and boil stirring until its rising.
Ingredients: sugar, cultured salep with specific process (instant), cinnamon, corn flower, cloves, nutmeg.
