Pink pepper comes from the reddish-pink berries of a plant, native to Brazil, which has nothing to do with the plant from which we take black pepper. Pink pepper has a delicate, slightly bitter taste. It is perfectly combined with seafood. It is not usually cooked, it is used, almost always, whole (not ground) and it decorates and adds flavor to salads and white sauces.
